Well, since the FFBM had almost eaten its way through it's factory carboard sleeve, I decide to make a better blade cover to make it safer to travel with as my car knife. Used black duct tape and a 2 liter plastic soda bottle to make it. Taped on a flash light leash with cord lock to hold the cover in place when it was sliding around under the seat. The best part was filling the soda bottle with water, taking it out back and chopping it with the FFBM:D Too cool. Has anyone done this with smaller or lighter Busse? I was amazed at how easily & cleanly the FFBM sliced through the soda bottle and this was after it had split wood, cut a small yard tree, and helped fit my Christmas tree into the trash can. I may trim the milk jugs down to size next. They're taking up way too much room in the recycling bin:D The more I use the FFBM the more I like it. Really need to see about getting the Mag scales hand shaped.

out of all the fine fine sheath makers on this forum, you'd rather have a soda bottle?!?!?!?!

Usually my knives have to "earn" their sheaths:) The FFBM is close. Notice that I didn't call it a sheath, as that would be an insult to the aforementioned sheath makers:D Who can afford sheaths? I own more Busse's than firearms and I shoot IDPA. My friends all make fun of me. I've been known to borrow guns for matches and for carry. My FFBM is worth more than my handgun, the only gun I own. I don't have a problem, just need another job (#3):)

LOL...I hear ya. I paid more for my SH-E (and soon NO-E) than I did for some of my guns. 2-jobs here; one is a boring day desk job...the one in my sigline pays less but is infinitely more rewarding.

I gotta find a side line I like. I don't really "enjoy" blocking at the local grocery store, lucky for me they're pretty flexible and I'm just doing one night a week right now. I've considered a nice leather sheath for the FFBM, but I'd want to go with someone who didn't need me to mail them the beast.

I went with the de rigeur Spec Ops sheath for my SH-E. I'll likely try rolling my own kydex for the NO-E.
