I am the proud owner of Hairy Carry #51, a fine little knife from Swamp Rat. We went for a little walk in the woods the other day and I thought I'd share some pics.
There has been some question about the tip; while this is not a piece of seasoned oak, I can say that the tip felt very strong while digging and prying in this old piece of seasoned fir. This is not a significant test in any way, but my subjective feeling is that the tip is strong enough for my needs. I plan to keep testing it, though, for mine and your enjoyment
I need to sharpen it some more but all in all, I really like this knife. The handle fits me well, the choil is well sized and placed, and it sure is purrtyy. I need a good sheath for it but I can't decide which style I want.
Thanks again Eric, for making such great knives.
