I am the proud owner of Hairy Carry #51, a fine little knife from Swamp Rat. We went for a little walk in the woods the other day and I thought I'd share some pics.

There has been some question about the tip; while this is not a piece of seasoned oak, I can say that the tip felt very strong while digging and prying in this old piece of seasoned fir. This is not a significant test in any way, but my subjective feeling is that the tip is strong enough for my needs. I plan to keep testing it, though, for mine and your enjoyment :D

I need to sharpen it some more but all in all, I really like this knife. The handle fits me well, the choil is well sized and placed, and it sure is purrtyy. I need a good sheath for it but I can't decide which style I want.

Thanks again Eric, for making such great knives.

I wouldn't treat it like a INFI or SR101 knife, but I think it's MORE than durable for what it will be used for.

I'll save prying out nails and digging holes in plywood for my Busse's.

My HC shipping notice was last week but the trip to Canada is long and slow. The pics help
but so do the Muppy and Sar5 that came last week. If my HC's come though I have a new knife from each label. I am really looking forward to the HC though. I love back G10 and satin and small concealable fixed blades are my favourite EDC.

The HCLE is a very cool little knife. I wish I had not broken mine by using it as a prybar in tough oak, but it is done. I am looking forward to getting another one. What a great EDC. Got some brand new kydex waiting on it. :D

Just to let ya'll know, I am the guy who broke the tip off my beautiful new HCLE by doing something stupid with it. I just received word from Eric that my replacement has shipped. You can't beat that Swamp Rat warranty anywhere. I did promise not to use that sweet little slicer as a prybar again. Got a brand new rainwalker kydex sheath just waiting on it. Thanks, Eric. :D

Mine showed up yesterday and one is numbered (#173 a prime number).
I am very happy with the little slicer ,i really enjoy small fixed blades.
