Took the new BK14 with me this weekend. Took a few other friends as well.
A few glams:
With my Fenix:
Made a feather stick, but didn't take a photo of it. My feather sticks suck anywhos, haha:
Batonning:
Ah, looking like a knife. Love knocking the new out of a fresh blade:
Cross batonning:
Took out a perfect wedge:
Wasn't trying to feather stick, but rather take some thin slices. No problem for the 14:
In hand:
Logo:
What I took with me, along with my Roselli:
Triple baton:
Becker triskelion:
BK2. Poor thing doesn't see as much action, as it's usually spending time in my BOB. Paracord bracelet courtesy of Mrs. Tradewater:
Chopped a bit with the Roselli. Interesting axe. A bit of a learning curve, but worked well:
The head is so thick, I figured it would split well. It did, but the shorter handle made it a bit inconvenient:
It feathered well. Well, if I could feather that is, haha. It's basically like using a scandi grind knife:
The bearded head allows you to get your hand behind it:
With my 11, and one of my flint strikers:
I'm losing weight, so I used the awl on my Vic Camper, to make another hole in my belt:
Had perfect weather. In the mid to upper 60's. The river had a greenish color to it today:
to be cont.
