First off, I traded a Zk war sword, and my bk14 to get this guy, and it was well worth it.(Thanks again Worldwood!) I actually loved my Warsword, but this knife just has a balance, and this control in my hand that I absolutely love. When/if I can get some extra cash to get some micarta slabs on this sucker, it will be an extension of my skeleton
And before I got one, I thought, 40 bucks I can buy a new bk11 or 14...and it's that much for handles? well, now I can see they are probably worth it. And you guys were right, it chops amazing, and the thing I really didn't expect, was this .25" beast snap cutting, and even just slicing 1-2" saplings like nothing! I probably cut a few a little thicker than that too, and it was easy
Well, here is some pics, and It just snowed the day after I took these, so I will take it out again and update this with some snow pics later
Making some easy tinder! (Starting a fire with a firesteel in the desert is kinda...too easy
) So I use it like a bic, lmao. But usually a quick hand drill, or bow drill is my preference, because it is really more enjoyable, and when I camp with friend, and they see me make a fire with some sticks, they start respecting my weird outdoor loving ways
I guess that's it guys! (yes, I have a lame, unmodified, stock 2
) But i really am liking this knife, and like I said up there^^I just got some snow, so I will try and start a small fire tonight to test out the first snow! Thanks for looking guys.
EDIT: forgot to add this, I couldn't find any toothpicks around the house to try that figure four I was so jealous of (posted by the Moose) So i made a quick one with some pencils
and a coffee table as a weight...
