Well guys i got this email from Dave [gd -golddigger] and he has an idea that i like a lot ... this was his thought on his own, but i think we can all make it happen!!!

here is part of his email :::

...What about a fund for haebbie like the one that was taken up for Maverick to get our Deutsch-lander to Post Falls? I think he would feel flattered at the gesture...

well i get excited and some times don't say things i think so others will understand.

GD Dave brought up the idea of a fund for bringing Haebbie from Germany to post falls next year... i like it but i was chicken to bring it up in public un-tell some one else said of it also...
so the question is if Haebbie Noll says he would come...
how many of you guys would donate some to a fund to bring a life time BCCI member here for the 25 year meeting?

Yeah, I'll 'fess... Haebbie is a real gentleman. A Man of class and elegance. He puts a great deal of effort in translating our nonsense here and responds to us outside of his native language. I, for one, would not be an interesting read if I were to communicate in Deutsch. I may not be an interesting read anyway but our fellow Buck Lifer on the continent has earned a show of respect, and if nothing else, this gesture of acknowledgement. Hopefully, Haebbie, you will not be embarrassed by our desire to extend gratitude towards you!?! I guess I will throw up a 'give-away' knife too and knowing Decaf, I suppose mine will be a fixed blade for those of us that are 'fixed'!

it's crazy! I like the Idea to travel to post falls to meet all the infected guys at the place were the infection is always provided with new food. I like to meet all the guys wich took me in the circle of BF members seeing Haebbie as a new member and not as a meddler that disturbs the quietude of the forum. I feel flattered and honored and somewhat embarrassed .... And, Dave, my friend, it would be great to meet you as my good friend who always has some kind words and good doings for me during he has more than a lot to do with his own problems.

It is crazy also, that two people came to the same idea within a short time. I don't know what to say. It makes me very proud. I feel like a kid fist time seeing a Christmas tree

Well, Dave, I like to come. And now I have to go to Carina to tell her what happens here and have to mail GD-Dave how he comes to the idea to start a fund for the crazy old German knife collector too.

Am I to interpret that 'Goose may choose a side? C'mon folks...it is haebbie! I presume some of us feel snakebit over the last fund raser(?) but if I may offer, this is a different situation with a totally different guy. I first joined in the fun and games here while the 'other situation' was developing and what I saw was a very kind spirit among the regulars. I wasn't involved. I picked up some details along the way of how things turned into a debacle. Does the spirit still reside? Perhaps this time it is not wild abandon but a little more calculated adventure? Okay, some got bucked (sorry {for the pun and financial}). Who lives to ride the horse again? I stand by my conviction statement...C'mon, it is haebbie!

Oh I had better get in a knife reference....I really like the monogram script on my EDC 'Goose. I saw the bolster on one of your Customs and knew I had made a good choice:thumbup:
