Any news on the availability of the fundraiser 500--honey worm-grooved bone, mirror-polished blade, no pins?

By the way, attached is a brand new limited edition 500--mirror-polished blade, desert ironwood.

Thanks Johnny,

Today I received this limited edition Duke, which is exclusive for the time being to members of A.G. Russell's Knife Collectors Club. I suspect it will be made available by Mr. Russell to the general public in a few weeks. The ironwood is absolutely beautiful. I'll begin carrying and using this wonderful Buck tomorrow at the office. I'm sorry I can't provide you with additional photos.

Johnny,

Can you post a photo or scan of you knife?

It was in their catalog...why not request a catalog; lots of nice knives there... :D

Hi Trax,

I have requested the catalogs from the AG web site at least 3 time in the last year......no catalog for me. I used to be a member of the AG KCC and had some of their club knives....I wanted to put them on their consignment page "knives ready for immediate delivery" emailed through the AG web site....was contacted and told I'd be sent some info via snail mail....that was six months ago.....no response, no mail!!!! I saw that AG has posted here on the BF and Buck forum....I sent him an email.....no response. I will not support them in any way......But, that is just me. I was able to fine a buyer for my AG club knives right here on the BF exchange. I'll buy my Buck knives' from Buck, their distributors of my choose (thanks Larry), BCCI and you guys. I think AG could take a lesson from the customer support and service provided to Bucks customers by Buck.

We are lucky the Buck family has built a company that takes care of their customers......Thank you....Hoyt, Al, Chuck, CJ, and Joe.

enough ranting.

Johnny,

Our March newsletter should be in the mail by the end of next week. There will be an order form in it for the fund raiser 500.

By the way, today I modded this knife by applying 400-grit sandpaper to the bolsters to give them the look of brushed aluminum. Again, I apologize for not being able to post photos of my blade.

...I saw that AG [Russell]has posted here on the BF and Buck forum...

Yes, I saw that...I was somewhat surprised that no one commented on it, or said Hi to him, or welcomed him back (or whatever)...

Is AG on everyones poop list here??? Whyfor???

I came back to this thread to post a public apology to AG Russell. He read what I posted here and contacted me. Looked me up in their old records and has new catalogs coming my way:foot: . I've opened my mouth and stuck a leather boot in it again.

I'm sorry MR. Russell you do support your customers. In addition, you are the reason I started to collect knives in the first place. When I was a young lad my dad took me to a sport and boat show in the big city and there was a booth with KCC information. The rest is history. Thank you AG I look forward to the new catalogs.

I saw the post too. But, being relatively new here, I didn't comment about coming back or "hi".
His catalog is the bomb.
One of my greatest knife losses was an AGR Sting from the 70's. I left it in the closet when I traded in my first wife. Went back some time later and it was gone. She says she doesn't recall seeing it (the ol' Ollie North line). I know exactly where I left it.
Anyway, I like the catalog...most of the knives are outta my price range. So, for me, it is indeed a "wish book".

I wouldn't mind paying the big bucks for the...errrr...big Bucks...if AG had exactly what I wanted...but Paua Shell 55's don't get it done...

(I really like that Canal Street Cutlery Doctor's Knife)

Maybe I been writing requests to the wrong places...maybe we could get AG to get a limited run through Buck...hmmm...

jb

AG Russell has a great catalog. I love the way he lists country of manufacture and blade hardness for nearly everything he carries.
