MODS please note :
Mr. Sparks {HPIC} said he would allow two Buck fundraseing knives to be listed here as active ebay items ... this is the first one.. another by Joe Houser will be listed later ...OK now with the legal out of the way- you guys
... a Bryan Yellowhorse Custom Buck mod 532 is currently listed on ebay..

This Knife was donated towards rising funds to help off set some of the cost to encourage Herbert, whom you all know as Haebbie, to come here from Berlin ... the intent is not to pay for his trip but to offer a welcome hand and "gas card" to help come here and say howdy at about the same expense as it would run us here our selves to go... it is a lot farther...
..
Haebbie was some what embarrassed and caught off guard on this ...
you Americans (Buck nuts) want to .. what?
He is truly humble to know that any would want him to come here bad enough to send him a 'gas card' instead of buying him a beer to help make sure he could make it !!!
In fact the owner of this knife does not know if he him self can get off work to make it to post falls to shake hands with Haebbie but wants all of us that do make it to say :

"HOWDY, Welcome to Post Falls, USA and the BCCI meeting and shindig!
We are glad you came!"

There were funds donated in another thread that were sent already and he then committed to a ticket as are many of us.
I will have to dig up the old post to get the names of other donors or if some one else can that is great with me as i have some.. problems of late …
if any one else wants to donate to the "gas card" some more you can email me for information on how…
note this is only a welcome gesture to do 'cause you want to and in place of buying him a beer...
i am going to try to get a jar there for him!
I was not told if it is ok for me to announce the name of the Yellowhorse donor or not..
I am going to ask if I can give his name and we will see..

There will be another knife that I donated my self and that Joe Houser has customized his self that will also be listed on ebay later for assisting with the 'gas card' for our friend when this listing is over..
so far he will be the farthest/longest distance traveled to a BCCI meeting and show!
well i have some things to do so it is up to you!
chow for now
decaff dave

Dave, while I have never seen a knife done by David Yellowhorse that was not finished on both sides, his son Brian has done some that were not finished on the reverse side, as is the case with this one. Therefore, to avoid any problems with a buyer that is not knowledgeable about this particular edition, you might want to include a photo of the reverse side as well in the ebay listing so that the winning bidder knows exactly what he is getting.

Great knife! I hope that you will get lots of $$ for this auction. Even though I dont collect that type of Buck amazing knife. I am still willing to help though! Please let Haebbie know not if WHEN he comes out I will give him $75 cash (or more if I can) after I buy you guys a few beers up here in Spokane/ Post Falls at the BCCI event. I cant wait to see what Joes knife auction will be. I have this picture (as my work screen saver )of a Buckmaster he did that is awesome. When things calm down after the great BCCI reunion I want to bug Joe to see if he can do something special for me. Thats if I can afford it ;) Again Great luck with this auction...

yes i will have to edit to add a of the back side or state the back side is not finished..
bug joe? hummmm
i do schrimshaw but you can not pay me to do it ... clint tryed for years to get some ... he got some a short time ago... jest ask him 'bout it..
it is my observation from his postings on the forum,
that the knives He does are like hobby or stress relief knives..
he has access to "a" shop and goes there to forget the aggravations of the day after work...that is if he can get off work with less then 10 hrs on any one day !
i don't think he takes requests i have only had the one for this fund raiser be accepted by him as this is not some thing he does for a living ... he has a day job i believe and any thing else is hobby and some are more important the others...
ya know like turkey hunting or chasing a little elk over half a mountain with a bow.....

If that's the case, I'll bet Joe must be in full production mode at present!!

Dave had his "scratching" tools ripped-off ......He was so bummed he quit for years...I trasure the 112 he did for me,it was my first 112 [now 26]... Chuck said in Alanta last year that the 532 was his pick of the litter.Joe is sending me one! Ah to be rich and buy any Buck you wanted...............

Well Dave, this one brought about what I had figured it would go for, and I hope it helps Bro Haebbie' expenses somewhat. As you know, he went out of his way to assist me in recouping some funds from across the big pond!!

Tin Sue, I am very pleased for your help. What you gave will cover a big part of the expenses for the travel to Idaho. But one thing ashames me: That you put a lot more in the box than you got back from the ... dealer in central Europe.

I am overwhelmed what happens here in the forum. A lot of you put a lot of Dollars in the pot, just to smooth the way for me to travel to the annual meeting in Idaho. It is simply Great! what you do!

with deep gratitude
Herbert
