Ok I found a survival kit in a twin engine aircraft being parted and the date was 1988 and I tossed all the medical/FAK items and Food rations and what was left was a tube tent dry rot(trash),mylar blankets dry rotted(trash) and a tube of skeeter off that smells like tar,of course tube is busted and gear smells like it... water smoke bomb thing and 3 hand held flares marked use before date 3/88 all trashed .....Items I kept in pic... the water bottles are 1Qt MIRRO brand I assume ? have a rubber plug to keep from leaking ? neat little folder USA and an old survival /emergency booklet :thumbup:

everything was unused since 1988 ,well I am going from Expiration date so maybe 1987, cool folder doubt I will keep it though ?

Don't let the bisphenol nuts catch you with a 1988 plastic bottle. You're liable to get mobbed and finger-crossed to death.

(in case you're wondering what "finger-crossed to death" means, make the sign of a cross with your index fingers start hissing, "Doom on you, doom on you." )

Maybe because the bottle was designed to be filled and due to aircraft pressurization...to prevent seepage. I dunno. Ain't no pilot.

I'd like to get me a couple of the green first aid boxes that were inserted into ALICE pouches. Those same boxes were used in some desalination kits but instead of OD Green, they were Red. I needs me a bunch more stuff around the house so my wife can gripe some more.
