I don't think I'd put too much trust into that latch mechanism. Casual use, sure. A slipjoint would serve as well. But! it's always nice to see what people come up with! Thanks for showing this.

It's basically a latch operated lockback mechanism.

Same.kinda lock as on this Otter # 5 safety folder..Except for reverse....Solid and safe...Easy to use.......Just not a quick open.or close toy....
