Okay, I gotta say I am not much into small knives but this one feels like a beast in my hand. Just got it today and could not be happier. It fits the hand like a glove. The slight ramp up on the spine makes your thumb stick like it has jimping The handle length is perfect and you never even notice you are cutting with a 2 1/2 inch blade.

This is just a perfect little blade that is sharp as hell. Now onto the picture show. :D

Oh hell yes, that's one sweet lookin' little blade.

That's a good one. You are the first to make that connection. Wish I had just 1% of the money that movie and sports equipment
company has made. Wonder if they would believe I was a long lost relitive.

Cool LiveitLoud! Thanks for the pics bro! I hope it works out well for you.

Chris, you outdid yourself on this one. The handle looked "good" until the one shot with it in the tree and the sun hit the grain pattern in the wood . . . . damn . . .
Great looking knife, small blade, big handle for us guys, very good idea . . .
Be safe.

An amazing knife....congratulations! on getting that one.

~Gnarly

P.S. It has moved up again,on my wishlist, thanx! to your fine pix.

I guess that means I need to take better pics! It does make a huge difference doesn't it.

And thanks for the kind words guys. I liked this one too. I didn't know if anyone else would like it but it felt great to me.

Nope; like your pix just fine,KFU!

After seeing yours...then his....with different backdrops....want one,even more!

Only way that one could possibly be improved---even slightly----even a tiny bit?

Red Mallee Burl!

....but you coulda guessed that,right?

This is one of those knives (for me anyway) that you can't fully appreciate until you get it in your hand. Has a nice thickness in the handle and fits nicely. Thinking one of these in black palm would be off the charts. This bad boy is on my hip now and goin to work today.

Chris what did you do to get the patina look to the blade? I really like the darkened effect. My biggest deal with a new blade is putting the first marks on it. This one already had them so it was go time right from the start. I am thinking that it will offer some protection against rust and stuff. Just curious.

I hope you sketched this out so you can make more. I have a feeling you will have no problems selling more of them. :)

I'm just sayin'....this will become a KFU Classic!

Anybody ( in their right mind  ) would want to own a minimum of: (1) KFU EDC, (1) KFU Wharnie and (1) KFU Stubby.

And will be saving up for 'The One His Wife Designed'....the Mrs.KFU Special...

And ordering @ least a couple of BA's Backwoods Knives,for those dress-up,formal occasions (marryin's & buryin's)....

And on the waiting list for one each,of Daniel's StraitMacheteRazorChoppers....and a DFK Ti Wharnie...

We're talkin' 'Bucket List' stuff,here!

Any red-blooded citizen of the Universe....just sayin'.....

Yeah thats why I like the finish. Its all ready messed up for you! The finish is kinda weird. You actually rust the blade after you put cold blue on it. After about 20 minutes it looks like you got it off the bottom of a river! You clean it off and out pops the patterns. You still have to keep it oiled but its easy to take care of. You can hit it with 2000 grit to brighten or put more blue on to darken. It should help in rust prevention though.

All this time I thought that was just the way they looked after you cleaned them up from heat treat. Just learned something and wasn't even tryin'.

yeah, Wilson it actually takes some time to do.

What is it that Dolly Parton says......"It takes a lot of work to look this trashy."
Just kidding Chris, just knowing how much effort you put in your knives makes me value them that much more.

"LIL", good grab. Don't let that stay on your hip too long, I would be looking for things to cut . . . . :D
Nice knife, hope you enjoy it. .
Be safe.

Thanks for all the replies. It got a workout yesterday. We had a shipment come in and I cut off zip ties, broke down boxes and then cut my sandwich for lunch. Real wicked little cutter. I like the bluing/treatment on the blade a lot. One of my favorite knives is a BHK maple handled bushcrafter with the blue on the blade. Guess I lean toward that broke in look.

Chris if you ever make another one and decide to put black palm on it (nudge, nudge) I'll take it no question. Thanks again for a great little blade!
