Funky SAK scales: How come the Classic gets all the fun?

Probab ly because they make more classics than any other model knife. Between companies putting sales logo on them, sales in non-knife friendly countrys like Japan and the UK, and non-knife people buying them because they don't really want a knife, but know they need a sharp tool once in a while so they buy a keychain model.

A few years back it made the cover of one of the knife magazines, as the most confiscated knife at airports.

I believe the classic is the modern 'pen knife' of our time.

Their are some really cute models for the Japanese market , including one with the front half of a dog on one scale , and the a$$ end on the reverse .

Classics lend themselves to whimsey .
