I've got nothing against this guy or what he's trying to do here. Best of luck to him. But when I saw this I just laughed my butt off!

You will too.
(Actually, I can't help rooting for him a little bit. Clever man. ;) )

hahaha well after he bought the knives to re-coupe some funds he decided to sell the boxes ;)...as we all know they're rather rare boxes to come by :D

I'm surprised I don't see people doing that more often actually. I know there are some older OOP knife boxes I'd pay a buck or three for. It's a whole lot cheaper than buying a whole new knife/box combo if you're looking for one for a collection.

Of course with these being mostly new boxes, good luck to him. :)

This part intrigued me: "1 BIG box for the 140 knives".

Now, I have a big box - made of genuine corrugated cardboard - that can hold a minimum of 300 knives. Can anybody give me an idea of the value on this fine piece to a collector?

:D :D :D :D

Torz, read the FAQ!
Dave, sounds like you're interested in purchasing my BIG BOX that can hold 300 knives, But according to the FAQ, spamming is a no-no. Don't try to sucker me in to breaking the rules, wise guy.

I remember about a year and a half ago a guy was selling his blackness on ebay. the bid was up to like $200 before ebay pulled the auction. The seller said it was performance art. It was pretty funny. He had endorsements like: This Blackness is guaranteed to get you laid, but not guaranteed to get you equal consideration for a job; You can also receive extra attention from LEOs with my Blackness; Guaranteed to improve your dancing skills; etc.

FWIW - as an ex-collector of high-end wristwatches (well, not really "ex", just in hiatus ;) ) I can attest to the fact that ANY piece of watch effluvia (boxes, cases, brochures, danglers, etc.) can indeed command quite a decent price in the right circles. A few years ago, a dealer I know purchased a case and box for a platinum Rolex for $600.

Whether a mint Spyderco cardboard box might fetch a similar bid is of course open to debate. ;)
