Funny finish, Brazilian Cherry handle

So my bestfriend was hanging around my shop while I was just about to finish up this blade, took it from heat treating to the belt sander and he stopped me halfway through and asked me to polish it, so I stopped, hand rubbed it for a little, threw it on the buffer and this is what we got!

An interesting config. I can think of a few benefits for it. The handle resembles Bocote a bit.

All my handles are typically the same shape, kind of the pistol grip and it gives it a real nice guard from the blade and if you need to use the bottom, The angle from the handle to the blade is a perfect thumb rest. It's a very comfortable design I may be making more of
