The choil looks normal, but the spine/thumbramp looks like it's bee fiddle with. If it was sold as new, I would return it.

@Orion's Belt : oh man really ? that sucks i bought it straight of a well known website. they dont sell pre-owned knives they buy straight from spyderco i think..
 
I doubt it's been tampered with, or is abnormal. Just the new style jimping. As with most changes, some love it, some wish for the "good old days". Not the first time it's changed, either...

Some folks refer to that middle style as "dino jimping". I think that's a hilarious name! :cool:

Maybe it's a return sold as new? Any other signs that it might have been used or carried?
 
You say the jimping feels weak and the picture suggests you are right. Have no clue if the knife was new, used, modified, etc.. but every Millie I have owned has had a very decent "bite" to the jimping.
