funny question about sebenzas boxes

hey guys, I have a new sebenza comming in the mail. this girl was born May 28,2009. I looked everywhere for this girl, because I did not want the Idaho Made stamp on it, and I dont like the hex holes in the pins. I like the flat pins on the older models. I was just wondering if you guys know when crk went to the smaller boxes. I like the older ones better.

If im not mistaken it wasn't until sometime in late 2010.

I got a large micarta 21 from 2009. it had a larger box and the hex holed pins. and no idaho made

was disappointed in the pins because I too much prefer the smooth pins on the back.

but long story short you will most likely get the larger box unless it was sent in for refurb without the box then they give you a new smaller box so it'll fit in the small flat rate usps box I presume.

good luck

I prefer the new slimmer smaller boxes pretty much only because you can fit it in a small USPS priority flat rate box.
The old larger boxes you have to break down and fold it up or use a bigger more expensive shipping box.

A Sebenza of mine, born may 12th 2010, came with the new box. So I would say that they started using them in early/mid 2010.

The posts above are right - to bracket things, my most recent Sebs were a micarta large that was 10/10 in the big box and a small micarta dated 2/11 in the small box.
