A couple nights ago, Linda and I was watching CSI: Miami. Some prison dude shanked another prison dude (yada yada yada), and the subsequent investigation revealed that the killer made a shank out of a turkey legbone by scraping it on his bedrail.

Linda looks over at me and said, "If you ever went to prison, that would be your job... making shanks!

Interesting! Whenever I hear of middle aged white boys going to prison a different job usually comes to mind first. ;) Maybe living in NH gives one a different perspective. :)

I had a pretty good run making fake shanks out of a box of Army messhall table knives I got at a garage sale. I figure if I ever get sent up I'm in good shape to make a decent living - trade goods, y'know? :D Might keep me arse outta the fire. Not that I'm a criminal or anything! :D
