Knife designs owned by Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin include: the RAT skinner, Laser Strike, RTAK, RTAK II, TAK, RAT-7, RAT-5, RAT-3, Model 1 (Folder), RC-3, RC-4, RC-6, and the sheath systems for the RC-3, RC-4 and RC-6. The RAT skinner and Laser Strike models are not currently produced but will be re-introduced at a later date. Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin do not endorse or approve of the RTAK, RTAK II, TAK, RAT-5 and RAT-7 knives that are currently being produced by Ontario Knife Company. RAT Cutlery plans to begin production of these models soon under the original name and specs owned and developed by Randall's Adventure and Training (RAT).

I see you've been on RAT Cutlery's web site. We plan on bringing out some old models as well as some of our other designs sometime this year. Will probably start off with the RAT-5 since we're already planning a 1/4" thick RC-5 SERE model that's not full flat ground, a full flat ground 5-inch model will be a good compliment to it.

Yes sir , I can not wait for the re-releases....Damn a dream come true !!!!!!!!!!!! I missed out the 1st go around on the earlier blades Tops/Greco collaberations

We are planning on releasing the RAT knife and the Laser Strike as well. These will be spread out a ways since we don't want a lot of new models all at once since it makes production hectic, but the Laser Strike is coming back and we'll either do the RAT-5 or TAK under the RAT Cutlery label as well.

I am excited for ya'll , I really wanted a laser strike..skinner,RAT3-7 & tak better quality & better made under the RC name ....I can not wait...I will take 1 of each !

Yowza! I'm excited guys - I can quit spending my days on ebay waiting for obscure old RAT models to show up! :D GREAT news!

I was considering going to the distance of having a rough copy of the Laser Strike made for me. I'd be willing to hold off if you all are going to make one.

Very roughly, about how long would you imagine it would be before I could get my hands on an RC Laser Strike? Is it a certainty that it will get produced?

:D Yeah....But look at it as you were just was giving a second chance and saved yourself years of grief searching the web for RAT Relics trying to outbid me !:p

Whew, glad you guys said this.
With an RC version of the RAT-7 (I assume it'll be noticeable larger than the RC6?), I'll skip the RC6 and wait for the RC RAT-7.

You may not have to wait too long. We will have prototypes of the RAT Cutlery TAK and RAT-5 at the Blade Show. I just confirmed that this evening with Shon Rowen. We're going forward with our older designs so they will be available. Not sure when the RAT-7 will fall into the schedule but it will be there, as will the RTAK.

Would you post a photo lineup for those of us not familiar with the previous designs; and/or not attending the show? Thanks....Have an RC3 & RC4 in Big Brown right now on their way to me!

An RC-TAK & RTAK-II! I can't wait; I love the look & size of this model, but won't buy an ontario made ones. I am elated to know that by holding out a little longer I can get an even better knives.

I never got around to getting a RAT-5. Guess I'll wait on yours!
