Title says it all. Threads that made it thru your "humerous" bone.

Want to keep it clean but the Mods can ship it to W&C if they deem it.

Here's mine from freq18hz (reposted http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=742 ):

My worst knife and most hated knife, my EDC.

Here's a little review of my CRKT M16-10kz EDC. It's the black, tanto, combo blade EDC m16...

Review:

It sucks.

Enough said...

Oh you want to know why?

How about for starters, it came shipped with a liner lock that engages too far, and doesn't hit the blade tang all the way? Yes any manufacturer can have a defect, and yes I could have gotten a replacement...so we'll let that slide, but it only helps to highlight the following:

This thing was designed like crap. When I first got it, it would hardly open and close, even with lube. I had to call CRKT and get shipped a free 20 cent pivot screw set. It still opens and closes like crap, just less crappily. Also, the handles have way too much flex, the lock is horribly difficult to engage/disengage, dare I say almost impossible with one hand (I have a special blister turned callous from it)...The serrations suck compared to other knives in that they hardly cut anything, and the grind on the tanto point is very uneven. The whole thing is shoddy, and feels much inferior to something like a benchmade axis folder, or even a regular sized CRKT m16.

But guess what? I use this thing every single day. It's one of the crappiest folders I have ever used, and I hate it. But I won't be getting rid of it any time soon because:

1) It takes abuse. Granted, it was a piece of crap to start with, so maybe it really doesn't take abuse any better than other knives, but meerly since it started out at a crappier level, the abuse doesn't change the fact that it's still just a piece of crap.

2) I can baton with it, and when it breaks, I just re-assemble it. Granted it doesnt go through the wood, but it still works afterward.

3) I sharpened it a month ago on my sharpmaker. I have since used it every day on food, cardboard boxes, you name it. I've even batoned wood, and whittled, and made kindling/shaved bark with it. It is still sharp.

4) The black blade coating just wont rub off, unless you use diamonds or ceramic stones on it. My other knives, even my Izula, the coating rubs away.

Honestly I hate this thing. I got it on sale on amazon for 18 bucks, and I still don't really think it was worth it. I have a benchmade mini griptilian waiting in a drawer to be my EDC. But this thing will not break. I refuse to give it away mostly because it is unsafe (and I hate wasting money) and no one would probably trade me anything useful for it.

So I wait for it to break. I abuse it as much as possible every day. I use the tanto point as a screw driver. I practice making feather sticks and shavings by running it over the biodegradable corn spoons/forks at work. I beat on the lock until it breaks, and then fix it. WHY WON'T THIS AWFUL KNIFE DIE?

=)
