Fusion BA?

I haven't started a thread in a while... so what the he11?

Anyone know why the BA got left out of the Fusion line up? It seems that the regular line up has always gotten the latest handles. Steel Heart, Badger Attack and the Mean Street being some of the regular line up. Of course the Mean Street did get left out of the Ergo handles but I believe that might have had something to do with the smaller size of it. And yeah the Meaner Street is refered to as having the EDC handle but still it has the lines of the Fusion handles, more mod looking. So what gives? Why is the BA slotted for a TAC handle design? I would think it would look very cool with a Fusion style handle! Any thoughts on this guys?

how do you like this handle? :)

Well, the BA was already taken in a different direction with the BAIII. I think that it departed from the SH and BM at that point.

Just wait until you hold a BA with the tac handles. All doubt as to whether this is the right handle for this knife will vanish. This is going to be one of the sweetest Busses of all time.

The TAC handles are ok but I like the SF and Fusion handles way better. I do wish the new BA would have been designed with one of these two styles instead. They would have had to make the handles in smaller versions to match up. Jerrys' the artist though, and a fine one at that.

I think a lot of people extend "fusion" handles into an entire line.

The "fusion" handles, IIRC, were only on the FSH and will be on the FBM.

The SFNO, Force 1, and maybe something else  had the "Special Forces" handle config.

The NARK and SJT had the "Tac" handle styling.

The upcoming Badger, as Mike said, will have the Tac handle (at least the protos at Blade did).

Very sweet blades...

Doorkicker that sure is a verrrry nice BA! Great score!

I guess the return of the BA will be the TAC design, not that I was getting my hopes up on a Fusion design but I thought I would pose the question, if only to see if there was any others who were up for it. Can't say I much care for the TAC handles but then I said the same about the Ergo lineup and I've grown very fond of that design! So who knows... just have to wait and see. :)

Thanks for the input fellas.

DK,

What's the story on that knife? Full on custom, or a special variant? I have a weakness for recurves, let me know if you'd ever like to let it go. I'd like to know the story regardless. The two holes at the front are odd. I'd think they would reduce the overall strength. I love the blade shape, I hope the ST-Ripper I'm waiting (patiently) for is similar.

The BATac is the only knife I look forward to more than the SJT or ST Ripper. I think it will be my ultimate EDC.

winmagfrog, the story of this blade is quite legendary. the story will be told for decades of the hog with the lightning fast hands that was able to snake this one right from under another unsuspecting hog's nose. the bar that hogs will use to score infi was forever raised after this one. a cloven salute goes to that mighty hog who proved that when at the trough, watch your six, your three and your nine....;) :D
