Hi All,

Just thought I would share my thoughts on the Fusion Steel Heart VS the Fusion Battle Mistress. As many of you may know the HHFSH was my first Busse, and I tried time after time to talk myself into buying a FBM but decided the FSH was big enough...

Until I bought an FBMLE and as soon as I got it I chopped and chopped and chopped some more. The Magnum handles are sooo comfortable on the fusion line that I think I am going to get mags on my HH also. I recently convexed the HH and it is shaving sharp so I'll have to compare the convexed HH to the FBMLE which has a "V"
grind just as from the factory.

As far as chopping I always thought that 2 inches of steel would not matter...

BOY was I wrong!! :o The FBMLE takes bigger and deeper chunks out of the wood than the FSH ever has. But the FSH is still my favorite blade all around blade. :D

And for some pics... maybe I should do a vid?

For the all around blade, small tasks, easier carry, chopping, whittling, food prep, etc, I really believe that the HH or 0.25" FSH can't be beat. It is the all around best for surival and/or serious camping/outdoor recreation. That is if you plan on carring just one knife. In fact if I was about to be throw to the wolves, so to speak, and could only bring one blade, it would be my HHFSH....period. But since there is usually some planning going on and I don't ever get dropped into a Red LZ, I get the chance to bring more equipment with me. That always includes my FBM (more chopping power), my SFNO or Shadow IV, and a pocket knife (currently Extrema Ratio MPC). With that style combination (NessMuk) there is little to nothing that can't be accomplished. IMHO.

Congrats on the LEFSH...sweet blade, a little heavy, might be some sharpening issue but there's little that will slow it down when it comes to chopping. Have fun!
