There it is.
Why is this knife so un heard of right now. Geese this thing looks amazing and there is only one youtube video of it.

DESCRIPTION
The SOG Fusion Fixation Bowie, model FX-01, has a 7 inch blade coated in non-reflective black oxide. The Kraton handle has been checkered all the way around for the best grip. Weighing in at 10.5 oz, this fixed blade bowie is practical by any measure. A nylon sheath is included for easy carrying. Sheath
also has a pouch to store a sharpening stone.

I'm wondering if this would be a good choice if i was looking for...

-a decent survival knife
-a fast fighting knife
-a practical foresting knife to take care of some chopping.

BTW, i know where to get this for 26$, is this a total bargain or what?!?

is there something im not seeing on this knife , because this seems incredible. Attractive and cheap. good materials too.

The handle is it too small? like it looks small, but is it still practical?
anyone own one of these?

thanks everyone.

I sold fusions. Absolutely terrible knives. You get what you pay for. 8Crt13MoV will not hold up well in survival situations (edge retention wise, corrosion wise, and impact/chopping wise). It might be a good yard work knife, but I wouldn't trust in in a survival situation. Save your money and buy a KA-BAR, BM CSKII or any of the Rat Cutlery RC series.

After seeing the SOG Fusion Jungle Pirmitive's crappy edge holding during Noss' tests I'm more that a little hesitant to buy anything from the fusion line

I would have to agree with the others here, I would stay away from the fusion series knives and check out a few of the blades suggested by Jake . You may also want to look at the Gerber LMF 2 , or RC-4... I have used both these knives in the field and both will take a beating and ask for more, take and hold an edge well... . You may also want to check out the Fallkniven knives ….

Good luck …..

Stay away from Fusion

If you want a good knife go for Bark River, Fallkniven, Rat Cutlery, Ranger Knives, Busse....

Listen, for $26 why not buy it and see for yourself? Personally it looks like something a mall ninja would carry but that is just my opinion. However, if you really want to spend money on a excellent woods knife buy a Mora 2000 for $30. Carrying knives for self defense (esp. the fusion) is plain silly anyway. My .02

I got the fixation dagger and think it's a pretty cool knife for $30. It doesn't seem like it would be the most durable but it is a dagger so whatever.

crap crap crap junk junk junk...that's why it's not talked about. You'd be better off buying a Frost Cutlery Bowie, it would be cheaper and the same quality.

The reason it's not talked about is because it just came out. I don't think it is bad at all. For $30 it was plenty good quality.
