Apologies if its been covered before. Black G10 fusion handles are a slick bar of soap. What can you do to roughen them babies up so they are easier to hold on to? It's extra work clamping down on those things so the knife doesn't go flying into the abyss,,,

What have you guys done to fix it?

I think there's a bunch of YouTube videos that show people effectively sanding their knife handles to either smoothen them or make them more grippy

Try a quick media blast. I once owned a FSH with G10 handles and had the same complaint you have. I gave them a blast with 120 grit garnet and it made them easier to hold on to.

Grit blasting the G10 would help. That is what Tom Krein does on his G10 scales.

Thanks for the ideas. Don't have access to a media blaster though, would have to hunt one down.

Anyone know how G10 would take a stipple job? How ugly it might turn out? That's something I could do myself without having to send it out to someone,,,

Stippiling G-10 does not work

You can grind grooves in will a dremel or maybe a file ?

X3 for canvas. I had to check twice, just to be sure, but only one of my blades has g10, and it's my smallest. SAR3.

Yep canvas is the way to go. Every G10 Busse I've handled has felt dangerously slippery. Micarta all the way.

Get a little pine tar , it's what baseball players put on the grip of there bat so it doesn't slip

Maybe it's all in my head but the tglb I had with G10 actually felt "grippier" when it was wet than when it was dry.

I've grown to like g10. I've been known to toss a couple layers of hockey tape on a blade handle. It comes in many different colors.
