Those of you who have both the HOFSHLE and FBMLE run over to your safes/mattresses/what-have-yous and get them out. Is my FBMLE the only one with a dramatically smoother set of grips? It has been awhile since I let my HOFSHLE go, but I really seem to remember that the grips were much rougher in my hands. It was one of the reasons I traded it away. These new ones are worlds better for bare-handed use.

the scales are a lil less textured..... i commented on that when i got mine, i was happy since the more texture the more blisters i get and i hate gloves

You are correct! The difference isn't great, but when you point it out...

Yes, the FBM LE does have smoother scales.

Surprised I didn't realize that, with all the chopping I've done.

I can't see a difference in texture but the handles of the HOFSHLE look much better.
The FBMLE handle have kind of a washe out look not so the HOGFSHLE.

I am thinking about getting a buffing wheel and seeing what that will do to the scales. The colors near the metal are much more vibrant and I have concluded that this is the result of the polishing process. I'm pretty sure I can buff the scales out without hurting them. At worst, I'll have to replace them with magnum black G10!
