It was brought to my attention that I have been a lazy sob and havent posted this one here for my brother hogs yet :o Whelp, better late than never! :D :p Do y'all think this type of sheath oughta be a regular offering? I sure do like it, I just need to find a good scource for the plastic stuff!

Just finished this one off for a fellow that does a bit of "prowling and growling" Marcinko style. He wanted something that would "take all the sh#$ I could throw at it, make NO noise if it hits something, the point WILL NOT come through the side of the sheath, left handed for opposing side carry, and basically indestructable." This one has ten ounce leather inside and out, two layers of kydex, one inside and one out, the kydex is encapsulated in the leather. The loop is reinforced, and the snap strap is reinforced as well and it sports a "pull the dot" snap. NO surprise openings there, It also has four holes in the belt loop to accomodate a "jump rig" three point retention. Its got a double stitched 1/2" wide welt, aint nothing getting through this one. Plus two reinforced tie holes at the bottom of the sheath. Its fully riggable to the pack or inverted carry. Tear this one up and I will make two to replace it!!! Its a nice fat 3/4" thick, but a lot lighter than you'd think!

I am going to offer this option with all the large sheaths, even though its a pain in the arse to do! I'm thinking the new Steel Heart and the EU-17 would feel right at home in this one! :D In fact, look for an interesting version very soon!!!

And to think my auto-emailer is only set at half capacity :D

WOW, I doubt if I can get Okuden to make my sheaths for $19.95, I'll have to start having leatherman do mine from now, especially with only a one weeks turn around.

Nice....:D

I am gonna be sooooooooo dead when the wife hears about this one!!!!!!! :footinmou

and a WEEK!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! OMG   Wheres the coffee!!!!!!

That's a kick-butt idea and design. Wish I had a sheath like that when I was in the Army. During one jump, I had packed a Randall Model 14 in my ruck. I later found that the blade had punched through the leather sheath when my ruck impacted with the ground. Having a kydex liner would have prevented that.

I think that is your best work yet Dwayne! I almost want one for myself. I have been thinking of doing somethiing similar, just to see if I could pull it off. But I have been too darn lazy and busy with other stuff. I might have to use this as inspiration. :D

To borrow a phrase from an unnamed and little known forumite....

Holy Crap!!!!

Outstanding work Dwayne!!
