I hope I am not breaking any rules, but I have been looking for a Benchmade d2 mini griptilian with plain edge for a while now.
I was aware that Cabella's sold the D2 model as an exclusive, but they stopped selling them for a while.

One of our forumites was kind enough to stear me in the right direction - not to trust the web site, but to call cabella's & speak to a live person.

I spoke to very profesional & helpful lady named Judy, she backtracked the knife to it's item # xe-51-6109, was then able to order the knife without any trouble. It was only $69.99 & s+h = 77.94 for the plain edge D2 minigriptilian

I ordered from the web site no problem a few weeks ago, you don't need to call to get the D2 - the confusion is that they mislabelled the knives as "440C tool steel" - they are always BT coated D2 when you get them.
 
Initially it was full size Griptilian. Now it is mini, Great!

I bought a full size Grip in D2 in the Michigan store back in March. It was $69.99 plus tax. I am very, very pleased with it!
