I just talked to Roger at the Works...the G10 on the m4 Millie is going to be

a fine black G10.. bout what I expected. Wish it was going to be a little

more course(better grip).
 
Does that mean it will be smooth finished? Apologies if this is a dumb question -- does fine refer to the finished texture?
 
Really wish I wouldve jumped on one of these. Its going to be a sweet knife. Looks like I'll have to try and find a used one after they come out.

Yes according what Im thinking its a fine..not much texture g10.

I would have also preferred Spyderco's regular G10, but we'll see how it turns out :thumbup:
 
I'm not sure where the confusion started, but just to clear things up... the Black G-10 used in the G-10/Ti Millie (with CPM-M4) for Knifeworks is the exact same Black G-10 used in all of our Millies. The texture is no different than what ya'll are familiar with now.

Thanks So Much Kristi..All is well now! I couldnt imagine why the G10 would

be any different than the rest of the Millies.

As was already requested.. we would like to see some pics of the prototype if

its ready yet. Pleaseee

To be honest, since it's an exclusive for Knifeworks, it wouldn't really be appropriate to post a pic without Roger's involvement.

Thanks for the reply Kristi. I was thinking the same thing. It really is Roger's knife and I figure he may or may not put up photos on his site when the time comes. I'm getting it regardless of photos or not but it would be nice to get at least a little tease for the last month or so we have to wait.

Hate to burst your bubble but it is probably more like 3 or 4 months. That's like a third of a whole year! Man that is going to feel like forever. :D:D


The wait should just make it that much sweeter when you do get it.

True. I had forgotten that in the email Roger said the date had slipped to mid June then mid July.
