Heard a rumor about the Mouse being made with g-10 scales and a version with FRN. Is this true?

Revolvergeek -- I hope Tim OKs the release of the Mouse info. I love my Mouse but have always wanted one that was a bit lighter and had more grip, sounds like the G-10 will fit that nook.
And CF will be available too?!?! It'll look great w/ the CF Civi, Cricket, D-fly and Ladybug. I might have to get two, one to save and one to use.

I sure hope they put a black clip on both of these little beauties.:)

So not only do I need another aluminum Mouse, but FRN and G10 too?

Revolvergeek: Where did you hear about a CF Mouse? We might want to head off starting more rumors if it's not verified by Blade-Tech.

I thought about staying silent on this but felt that maybe a word might help. Of course I may be saying too much, but to keep all questions to a minimum...

I spoke to Tim about the "mouses" he had at Blade. These were not manufactured by Spyderco and, as I understood, it may have caused some "discussions" between Spyderco and Wegner. I didn't probe more, since it was none of my business, so I may be totally off base. I respect both Sal and Tim a great deal and I would say to please let it alone until something more is announced.

The mice (couple dozen) I saw at Blade were carbon fiber, g-10, blade steel definitly was S30V; however, they were not for sale. Mr. Wegner said they would be available soon and would retail for $80 something, maybe.

Tim displayed a "rendition" of a Spyderco Mouse at the Blade magazine Show in Atlanta. Tim had the design made with a vendor other than Spyderco, so the design does not have a round hole. Tim has plans to mfr the model himself in the near future. Tim and I are negotiating the details so he will be able to produce his model.
