G-10 and Micarta weight

I just got a coated BOSS Jack today with Tequila Sunrise G-10 handles. When I place it on a flat surface next to a BOSS Jack with micarta handles and bead-blasted finish, the handle stays flat and the blade doesn't touch the surface. The bead-blasted version tilts onto the blade.

I measured the steel thickness, grind height (for both bevels), and handle thickness and the two are almost exactly the same. The bo-hi ("fullers") are the same as well.

So clearly G-10 is heavier than micarta. While this isn't news to anyone, I would love to know if any of you have actually taken G-10 handles and micarta handles and compared their weight.

If so, do you have numbers to share?

I remember reading a comparison a while back of CG ASHs with Magnum handles, and the one with G10 was 1oz heavier in that size, IIRC.

On that size blade the G10 is .80 oz heavier as per the specs located at the bottom of the first post here (which really would be nice to be stickied in this forum and maintained to help others with these same kinds of questions.)

These pics show the weight difference accurately as the coating is not there to throw off the weight, even though it probably is negligible.
