Well, it's not cord-wrapped but I couldn't help myself with the hamon. She is 12 1/2 inches overall with a 7-inch (tip to handle) blade of 1/4-inch W-2. The handle is textured G-10 with homemade mosaic pins. Let me know what you think and thanks for checking it out. :)

I agree, it just looks so cool. I love the temper line and the handle is really cool too. Great work!

Can you show a pic from above? I'd like to see the taperring.

It looks great, and ready to cut!

I've got to say that I think this knife is rather spectacular. I'd also like to some shots from different angles. It looks like a well thought out woods design that is embellished just enough to be beautiful but still quite usable. I'd be proud to slice, dice, and chop with her. :)

Thanks for the comments -- I've got to work on some leather for her tonight and I'll take some better shots from some different angles. :)

A couple more pics, you can't really see 'em but the slabs also have black liners --

Simply fantastic!!!

The best yet in my opinion! Very much my style mate...

Yep, it looks like you have a clear winner with this one. Now, that knife better be heading to Belleville.

Na, somebody else beat me to the old Burch camp knife. I'll probably have to threaten Burchmeister with bodily harm to get one for myself. :D

"Couldn't help yourself with the hamon..." ???

If you're good at it, you should do it !!! :D

Very purposeful design there, nice work on the handle texture - looks like a crackle type finish. Would make someone travelling through the bush very happy. Jason.
