I haven't read much about improving the appearance of G10. I got some Halpern grips for my Mule and read and saw photos of applying mineral oil. It really improves it. So I decided to see if there is something better. I had some Howard brand Butcher Block Conditioner (got it at Home Depot) that I've used to finish wood with. In addition to mineral oil it has beeswax and carnauba wax in it. I applied it to three G10 grips and let it soak in. When I wiped it off it had a slight sheen and it enhanced the color better than the mineral oil alone. The plus about this stuff is it seems to last. I've had my edc in my pocket and it really lasts. It doesn't seem to rub off.
I hope it works for you folks and if someone has tried something better then post it so we can try it.

I've never thought of treating my g10, does it make it slippery at all?

Any pictures of before and after? That'd be neat to see the difference.

I got the idea from someone who posted pictures of new and different color Halpern Titanium grips for the Spyderco Mule team knives. The grips were dull and flat looking. When he put the mineral oil on it and wiped them dry they really came to life. So I tried it on mine and got the same good results. I tried the next oil I mentioned and it was much better and it's lasted.
Actually it's not slippery at all since you wipe it dry. And amazingly the grip is better than before. It's probably due to the beeswax and carnauba wax. I don't have before and after pictures but if you search Halpern Titanium on the web you'll get links to see before and afters.
Let us know what you think.
