G-10 Harpies

On this forum as well as the forum on the Spyderco website, I see a tremendous affection for the G-10 Harpy. I missed getting one, since I never saw one at a dealer or show, and am a relative newcomer to the internet, so I did not know they existed until after they were discontinued. Is there hope for another production run? I would probably buy at least 4 or 5 right away, since I "stock up" on things I really like, and both my wife and I are fans of the hawkbill/billhook blade. ( We have 2 Harpies, 2 Civilians, 1 MOD Ladyhawk, & 2 LaGriffes.)
 
Hi Rex. The problem with the G-10 Harpy was the retail price. Perceived as high, sales were poor. Once the model ws discontinued, closed out and sold at discount by a distributor, then sales were good.

We cannot produce the item and sell it for the discount price and we don't feel the market is great enough, at this time, to try to bring it back at the higher retail.

Rex - I just got my G-10 Harpy, and I love it. You might try John Jensen,(johnfjensen.com) or Knifecenter (knifecenter.com) or Hamonoichiba (hamonoichiba.com). I got mine at Hamonoichiba -excellent service, was easy to to the order, and I got my knife in five days. you might check the other two I mentioned first, as I believe I might have paid a bit more at Hamonoichiba. I have ordered knives from John F. Jensen also and had most excellent service from him as well.

Thanks. I tried the source in Japan, but my laptop cannot handle the translation. I saw John Jensen's website a few days ago, and may call tomorrow.
