I have been into knives for a very long time but have no experience with g-10 and I feel like a complete idiot asking this, but on a sheet of g-10 which side are you supposed to cut the pattern into or does it matter? One side is shiny while the other is more natural and raw. Sorry for the stupid question.

Sorry I can’t answer the G-10 question, but have you considered asking in the makers section here

I'm no expert but I believe you cut the patterns on the raw side and keep the shiny side flat so it will stay flush with a fixed blade tang. And keep the tolerences inside of a folder tight so the blade stays centerd and the stand offs/back spacer are flush with the inside of the handle.
Just my 0.02 hope this helps man! Oh and ask a mod to move the thread don't post a new one.
