finishing up some fillet knife handles with some g 10 and would like to know if there's any sort of way to put a non slip finish on the handle?

considering sandblasting the handles was worried about it making it unsightly?

If this is for a customer, i would ask and see what they wanted. if this is for you, I would take a utility knife blade, and score a checkered pattern into the G10. it would give it some grip and would be cheaper than sandblasting, unless you had the setup already.

G10 is grippy stuff but the more you polish it the smoother it will get. I like to rough grind it with about 80 grit then follow up with scotchbrite belts for a really grippy finish. This won't bring out the color very well but it feels great and isn't slippery even when wet.

Blasted G10 looks great, and gives a solid grip.

You could always texture it with a small wheel or a file.

I'm gonna blast away, thinking of using black sand (a little more aggressive ) would that be the correct media?

I would use bead if you have it. Aggressive media will scour away the surface of the G10 very fast, leaving any pins and /or the tang standing out a little from the surface, since the metal resists the media much better than the G10.
It does get very grippy and you start to see the mesh texture pop out, which I think is really cool.

Turned out great, thanks for the help. The blasted finish does feel great and fits the order. I will be doing more of this.

Bead blast is the way to go. It's pretty much a no brainer operation. I gravitate to those type operations.
