Now that the FBM is out how does the G-10 compare to mircata? Anyone have a review? Do you like them better? and would you get them again on a user?
Sorry about all the questions, I havent received my first one yet :( and I'm getting ready to order my third..

My preference based on in-the-hand feel alone is micarta. The G10 is a little too grippy IMO. By that, I mean there are points on the handle that really seem to bite into your hand, or feel sharp. I am sure it is nothing that a touch with a dremel tool can't solve, and it probably would not even be noticed. People seem to like the color variations on the G10, but if you're not going for that, then I would go with micarta. I also do not feel like the slightly less grippy feel of the micarta poses any issue of keeping the knife firmly in hand during heavy chopping. Hope this helps.

Black G10 and black paper micarta look and feel very similar to each other. The principal difference seems to be a bit of visual texture in the G10 that the paper micarta lacks. I like it a great deal on my knives with it, but none of them are Busses:

Rick - I like Dervish too

Micarta is more comfort no doubt. Real comefort. But G-10 mag start to grow in me. I don't know why.

The micarta grips are flat in appearence. Rather they do not shine like the G10. Any other oppinions?
