I just picked up a single liner G-10 Police. It has a ATS-55 flat ground fully serrated blade. The blade however is not marked POLICE.
Anybody know why it's unmarked & when it was made?

Hi there, i have 5 of these all different, but all of the blades are marked. I have several other Police models with unmarked blades and no one can tell me about those either.
As for date of manufacture I will check my records and get back to you .
Phil

Thanks Phil,
I was wondering if I should keep this as something rare & special, or if it was common for a Police model to be unmarked.
I guess it was....

Hi There
have replied on the Spydie forum.
All the later G10 police knives are scarce, but the single liner ones are a little less so. does your knife have the Boye dent? if so it could be later manufacture than the 29 Jan 02 date i gave you.
A plain edge linerless G10 is probably the rarest of the G10 knives and attracts the best price on Ebay. Yours having no blade marking could make it worth a small premium.
does it have the blade steel grade etc on the blade?
There are so many variations I confuse myself sometimes.
Phil

Hi Phil,
I saw your posting over at "Spydie Central" thanks!
My single liner G-10 Police does not have the Boye dent. It is marked ATS-55 & SEKI-CITY JAPAN just not "POLICE"

I'm starting to get worried now that this may just start me off collecting POLICE models now  Just what I need in my Spydie collection... a sub-group to work on!!! ;)
