Hey guys,
Most of you know I have been giving away G-10 for the shipping, my question is, they are large sizes, would it be best for me to cut it down to smaller sizes and if so, what sizes would be convenient for you?

All suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.

I usually get my handle material in 3/8ths sheets or scales. I dont, however, do a lot of hidden tang knives.

I have the 1/2'' sheets, but what dimensions, right now I have 19 sheets 18'' x 37'' x 1/2'' what would be good to cut to?

Thanks Matt,
Jim

I think if you went 18x12 or so, that would be good. I wouldnt mind a sheet if you have one to spare. Let me know the cost.

I will get some cut somehow at that size and relist in sale thread, if anyone else has preferred sizes, please respond also.

Most stock cut for full-tang knives starts at 3/8 ths of an inch thickness, then 1/4 and I have seen it as thin as 1/8th. I would buy a couple of pieces if it was 3/8ths or 1/4. I bought some lime green blocks off E-Bay and I have never been able to cut it. Send me a PM if you get some cut like that, I would be happy to buy it ...

If I am able to cut it that thin, how long and wide would you want it?
Thanks,
Jim

I would think if you could cut them down to pieces that would fit in a USPS flat rate box that would be great. It would keep the shipping under $10.00 and be in sizes that are easier to chew. I think its great what your doing and was thinking of getting some myself but the pieces you have now are just so huge.

Just my 2 cents
thanks

Jim,
If you could get it that thin (3/8ths or 1/4) that would be great! The wideth could be 1 1/2 inches or as wide as you wanted and the length could be 5 inches or as long as you wanted ....I could handle it from there....
Thank you :)

Good idea on the size for the flat rate boxes, I will have to see all that is involved in getting to fit.
Thanks for the idea.
