AFAIK (and I could be wrong) micarta is usually made out of cloth, and G10 is a Glass epoxy, and is stronger.

My understanding is that Micarta is composed of many layers of a material (either linen, canvas, or paper) which are bonded together by a resin. G10 is a very similar material which uses layers of fiberglass bonded together with resin.

G10 is always made with an epoxy resin. It is composed of layers of glass fabric impregnated with an epoxy resin.
