Where can I get G10 with a rough finish as with the commercial knives?
Failing that, is it possible to put that kind of a finish myself?

If you mean the textured type, Les Halpern, Halpern Titanium sometimes carries it.
If you just mean "rough", it can be sand/bead blasted.
