G-Clip doesn't fit sheath

So I brought a used Street Beat from the forums here and it did not come with the G-clip. I buy a G-clip from a Canadian store online and the hallow tube does not the Boltaron sheath. So I was wondering if there are different versions of the G-Clip?

Spyderco has a habit of improving things over time so, if the hole pattern is correct, then the hardware may have changed over the years. You say the hollow tubes don't fit the sheath. Are they too long, too short, too small, too big, or what?

Did the original sheath come with a Tek-Lok? If so, then it was probably drilled for Blade-Tech's aluminum Chicago screw posts, which are thinner than the stainless steel posts used on the G-Clip hardware. The hole locations are the same, you just need to enlarge the sheath holes slightly to accomodate the G-Clip posts.

Stay safe,

Mike
