  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

G-Sakai Bosen Enkuto

Steels are powdered High Speed SRS-15 (core) and stainless SUS-405. 63 HRC

SRS 15 -

C=1.5
Cr=13
W=1.25
Mo=2.75
V=1.5

D2 -

C=1.55
Cr=11.50
V=0.90
Mn=0.35
Mo=0.80
Si=0.45

M2 -

C=0.95-1.05
Cr=3.75-4.5
Mn=0.15-0.4
Mo=4.75-6.5
Ni=0.3
Si=0.2-0.45
W=5-6.75
V=2.25-2.75

So SRS-15 looks like D2 on steroids - more of everething: Cr, Mo, V and W.

Thanks, Vassili.

I send them e-mail, they told me how much should I send them including price, discount and shipping. I went to post office, bought International money order and sent it to them by regular mail, after they got it they sent to me knife - it take less then 2 weeks - 10 days or something... Some dealers here work slower.

They have several ZDP-189 knives, also but expensive.

Initially I found at A.G.Russel their High Speed knife, but even it is listed as high speed I figured out that model A.G.Russel has is actually 440C not high-speed-stainless as it was listed - see here at the bottom:

http://www.gsakai.co.jp/jp/english/shop/shop_gsaka6.html

so I canceled my order and contacted G-Sakai directly, by e-mail...

So now I have this knife which I love more and more. It has handle which is thiner in the middle which makes it exteremely grippy - it is like hold itself in my hand. It is pretty fast, I think it is pretty good fighter.

And this high carbon, high vanadium, high molibden and high tungsten steel make me appretiate it even more!

Thanks, Vassili.

BTW: Knife on your link is Kanetsune (not G-Sakai) Matagi Hunter
