G-shock is dim from some angles...

I just ordered a new g-shock and was bummed to see that when I look at it right on, from the right, or from the top, it's pretty dim. If I look at it from the bottom or from the left, it's bright. I had another watch a while ago that was like this and it drove me nuts. Is it luck of the draw, or am I just being picky? Could this mean the battery is run down?

It's a G-Shock 5600 if anyone has one and would like to take a look.

You can check if the battery is running down by pressing the light button. If the numbers on the display are fading, then the battery is running down. The display should light up and the numbers should not fade.

BTW, I have no problems with my DW-5600E. But I did notice that the display of my more modern G-Shocks have a more sharp display.

It sounds like your battery is dead, i experienced it myself a long time ago with an old G-shock.

Try changing the battery, i think it would help.

As other suggested, you might want to try changing the battery... but then again, different angles reflect light differently, so it might just be physical bad luck.
