So I ordered a G10 Caly 3 new off a website that ive seen with mixed feedback on this site.
This is my first knife thats hit the $100 mark, and from all the reviews it had me very excited to see it in the mailbox.
When I opened my package the knife box was ok, but looked kinda beat up/shelf worn.
Upon inspection of my new knife it has discolorations on the handles.
Im not sure how to describe it really, but the whole inside part of the handle is faded while the outside near the rivets is dark black.
Ive tried wiping it off with water , as if they used some sort of oil and it dried on it, but that didnt work.
Is this what happens if it sat on the shelf too long or what?
I am really disappointed and I dont want to return it, but its ugly and I really dont like it.The blade is sharp and I really like the knife itself so can I fix this or do I have to try and get them to send me a replacement?
Pics arent the best but I hope it gets the point across.
In real life it looks 10 times worse, and remember this is new right out of the box.
