Just noticed this after recieving the BGWTH, this Orange and Black is dirtier colored than all my other Orange/Black.

Anyone else notice any difference in thier collection?

One of the reasons I go with Black G10 is that it's the same every time. Every coloured G10 i've seen has variances from batch to batch.

ya..big difference :( my wife got her first Busse (the baby boom) an chose the orange black cause the blade I have with that g10 is a vibrant orange. we were a little bummed it came with a much darker orange.. wouldn't be a big deal but being for a girl and it's her first the appearance was important to her. really wish we had gone with tan black now. awesome little blade tho..

Yeah same here I noticed the G10 has natural variatons...I don't have any orange but I have a lot of tan/black G10 and also blue/black G10.

I've noticed that the blue/black definitely has different hues from one order to another. Thankfully it's not that big a deal because they still look okay...but the blue was much darker on the Ratweiler I got as opposed to my BG TGLB from a previous order. Also the design of the black lines was different.

My tan/black collection, I have 3 different Busses and the tan is sometimes almost white/gray really light and other times looks like a dark gray with white/black.

Just the nature of the beast. It's basically dyed fiberglass laminate so it's bound to have natural variations. Just sucks when you want a certain hue and get a different shade.

I personally like the variations- though mine tend to get pretty nasty in general use, or stay spotless cutting paper. There isn't much of an inbetween.

why the natural variances. I would think, like paint, they can do whatever color they would want to match. unless the g1o contract, goes to low bidder.

honestly, I have to believe if the vibrant g10 was available Jerry would have done what it took to get it given the dramatic difference. unless it was assumed it would be well received. just wish I would have had the chance to reconsider. that said the knife I got was perfection in all other aspects..

I don't mind the color difference too much, but the brighter is more appealing to me.

I find the G10 color differences to be low to medium most of the time. I usually go with green/black.
You wanna talk about wild color swings look at any of the canvas micarta options!

If anyone wants to sell their inferiorly colored scale knives, I'll take them off your hands. One man's trash is another piglet's slop!
