G10 Delica vs Paramilitary

Which one would you rather have, and why? I have both of these and probably will sell one, since they are both rather similar.

G10 Delica--this thing feels solid. Metal liners, metal lockback (?), no plastic anywhere. Makes it feel hefty. Flat ground blade is nice. There is some slight blade play, however, but I've come to accept this since most of my knives have some.

Paramilitary--compared to a normal FRN Delica, the Paramilitary beats it hands down. However, the G10 Delica feels a bit more solid than the Paramilitary...probably because it is more dense (weight to size ratio) and this is probably why it gives the impression of a sturdier knife. The Paramilitary feels light for its size. The one great thing is that the lockup of the blade is much better than that of the Delica, almost 100% solid. However, I'm not a big fan of the modified liner lock, and think a normal liner lock might be more convenient since a liner lock on the front requires fewer steps to close singlehandedly (less twisting in your hand, etc.). Plus I'm left-handed, which makes having to use the side of my thumb to press it a little uncomfortable.

I also can't put the clip on the left side of the Paramilitary, since there are no holes. I guess I have to just put it in my pocket.

Anyway...what are your thoughts?

The Para's a better knife, but i'd keep the delica, just because I love D4's. Keep which ever one you like/ would use more.

I think I'm gonna sell the Para.

But when they come out with the new version, that's a lefty, and allows tip up carry, I'll be all over that. ;)

One of my first Spydie loves was the Delica - I still have my first one too. However, My Para is something I would not wanna be without - definitely one my faves, the knife, the feel, the compression lock, etc - everything about it. So if one has to go, then bye Delica - it was a nice run ;)

The compression lock on the Para is far from being a modified liner lock. It's design makes it much stronger and more reliable than liner locks, though it is harder to manipulate for some. I personally have no problem manipulating the comp lock with either hand (I actually find it easier to work lefty). The G-10 Delica should outslice the Para due to having much thinner blade stock, and is the more compact knife. If you aren't doing HD chores or using gloves the Delica might work better from a pure cutting standpoint, though I would pay someone to flatten out the tip to a splinter picker tip like the Para. The Para is a still excellent cutter that can handle some abuse and would work better with gloves.
