G10 EDC folder recommendations?

Greetings.
I'm looking for some recommendations.
I really like pocket knives with these flat g10 grips like that are on this ZT0350 I bought recently.
This knife is a little beefy so I was looking for other recommendations on a flipper knife similar to the flipper style on this ZT0350 with g10 grips on both sides.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.

The PF818 remains a favorite. Another gift from the low price on some of these has been freedom to modify. If I mess anything up, it's the same principle as worrying less if you lose it. 😜 Plus, you get practice if you ever want to mess around with more expensive stuff.

Taking a few minutes to smooth over some of the crisp lines on those scales radically enhanced the comfort of the PF818 in my hand. If you've never done it, you can use a little sand paper or even an emery board. (The average coarse/fine two-sided emery boards are not only handy but usually good grit choices for small mods to G10 or Micarta.)

This might need a move to the right spot. I think he'll get more appropriate responses in GKD. I'm not aware of any traditionals that have a flipper tab.

Are you looking for another assisted opener? Those aren't too common and KAI kind of has the best system for that. Also, are you saying you want a flipper that's beefy like the ZT or something slimmer?

Yes I want another assisted flipper. But maybe soma little more slim. I like the length of the zt350. But the width is a little thick.
I had a kershaw ram 1910. But I believe i accidently threw it away last weekend when I was cleaning out my garage.
Still pretty upset about that. I'm hoping it's just hiding in there somewhere and I haven't found it yet.
I'm looking for something similar to that.

OP: Have you looked at the ZT0357?

It's assisted, uses G10 scales & isn't as "hefty" as the 0350.

See: https://zt.kaiusa.com/0357.html

There are a few other discontinued ZTs & Kershaws that would meet your criteria but they are hard to come by & will probably cost more than you'd care to pay for them.

Yes I've been looking at that one. It's at the top of my list at the moment. Just trying to take a look at other recommendations.
Appreciate your reply

Okay, someone needs to recommend this one….might as well be me. The Kershaw Blur in Magnacut steel can be had for about $125. It’s a rugged, rather thin, assisted folder in terrific steel. IME, if needed, factory support is great as well.

Buck Sprint is worth taking a look at, very different than the zt lineup though. USA made and has g10 options, and at a lower price point if you don't want to spend so much.

In terms of knives that are currently made and given your assisted/flat G10/less hefty than the 0350 criteria, the 0357 seems to be your only choice.

However, you piqued my interest & if you've got the time, patience and desire to find something else from a selection of older/discontinued ZT & Kershaw models, here are some suggestions that I just culled from my collection:

From top to bottom starting below the 0350, they are the:

1) ZT 0566 (Hinderer)
2) Kershaw 1595G10 (Speed Bump)
3) Kershaw 1790 (Turbulence)
4) Kershaw 1860 (Piston)
5) Kershaw 1940 (Compound)
6) Kershaw 1950 (Tremor)

If you want to stick with ZT, a version of the 0566 is always available for sale on EB. The going price for them is a a bout 25-50% more than a 0357 but I think you'd be happier with the 0566 than with the 0357.

If you're willing to go with a Kershaw, examples of the 1595G10, 1940 & 1950 are currently available for sale on EB and you can get the 1940 for cheap.

The 1790 is similar to in design to the 0357 & the closest in size to the 0566 but there aren't any currently available for sale on EB. The 1950 is much bigger than the 0350 & others but I added it to the group for comparison. The blade on the 1950 is 3.75" in length.

Thank you for posting those.
The Kershaw 1860 looks like a great option for what I'm looking for. I've always been a fan of Kershaw knives. I'll keep an eye out for one

I also found the Kershaw Heist g10 is pretty similar to what I'm looking for.

If you don't mind carbon fiber handles instead of G10, the ZT 0770CF may be worth a look. It's much sleeker and lighter than the 0350. Assisted-opener flipper, liner lock, similar blade length

Some old pics that show a 0350 and 0770 (among others):

I considered suggesting the ZT 0770CF but it didn't meet the OP's requirements.

The Kershaw Natrix 7007 (which is the cheaper cousin to the 0770) doesn't either but it does offer a version with a textured G10 scale that might be worth consideration.

Its's currently on sale on the KnifeCenter for just $26 down from the original MSRP of $75 which is closer to what I paid for mine. o_O
