FRN Endura ~$55
G10 Endura ~$115

As far as I know the only difference is the G10 and full flat grind vs FRN and saber grind. Do you think the G10 version is worth paying double for?

If I'm not mistaken the liners are not receased and are thicker/heavier on the G10.

You and I have different information. I emailed Knife Supply to ask about the G-10 version and they told me it was ONLY G-10 without any liners.

Has anybody actually handled one? I would love to know if it has liners because being told it didn't was a deal breaker for me.

Did they even look at the knife ? It blatantly has exposed steel liners.

Yes it has nice thick exposed steel liners. Sounds like knife supply pulled an answer out of the air instead of looking at the G10. More interested in the sale than in good customer service.

I don't think that G-10 Endura is worth the extra money over the FRN Endura 4.
I would rather just pay the extra and get the G-10 Police, which I think has a better handle design anyway.

I have handled one and it definitely has full length and rather thick liners. I think the G-10 and FFG definitely makes it worth it.

Sounds like it. Here's what I got in return to my question:

Hello,
The G-10 models do not have stainless steel liners. It is G-10 only.
Thank you,

Oh well, nobody's perfect I suppose, but he did cost himself a sale because I would have ordered one had I known it had liners.

I have one and it has steel liners. The flat grind is awesome. I also have the FRN version. That's a great value but the G-10 version is better and well worth the extra money. The knife has a lot of heft. The G-10 is nice and grippy. The flat grind makes the blade a mean cutter.

I just picked one up for $129 in Canada. I had some second thoughts also, as it is double the price of the FRN and 50% more than the ZDP 189 model. In addition to the flat grind I like the heft and sturdyness of the knife.

It is really beautiful and functional design ,a keeper in my books.

If I wanted a knife for $115, I'd throw in $10 more and just get the Military. It's a great knife and I think it's the best one in Spyderco's lineup.

If I was in the market for an Endura I'd get the ZDP-version. That's got to be one of the best buys in the market right now.

I think the G-10 feels so great in the hand, when you combine that with the flat grind I'd say yes. But you should try to hold one first if possible, you may feel differently.

Both are great knives. I love the FRN version but the flat ground blade of the G10 one offers great cutting power on thicker materials. Can't go wrong with either.

I have one and love it. Here's why:

Flat grind
Great VG-10 Steel
Solid, moveable clip (I don't like the new clips on the FRN models)
Grippy G-10 handle and super solid construction
Did I mention the flat grind?

FRN Endura ~$55
G10 Endura ~$115

Do you think the G10 version is worth paying double for?

I bot both.

I EDC the FRN version with complete delight and confidence.

I hoard the G10 version just in case I ever become sophisticated. However, that outcome is not looking likely.
