I've started carrying my Ritter Grip again, after going all slipjoint or SAK and Spyderco for a while. I guess I've just gotten so used to G10, that I am spoiled. I know that the Wilkins Grip is an option, but I haven't gotten one for my full size Ritter Grip, because of the lack of lanyard hole on the Wilkins I've seen.

Factoring in the cost of the G10 scales, do you think that would be a good addition to the Grip?

I know there are folks who think adding custom scales to a mini or full size grip is not really worth the cost, but other than the inexpensive stock scales the knives are of high quality. Throw in M390, S30V or M4 and they are outstanding. Wilkingrips are indeed pricey but among the best. I wanted more choices so I went with some Cuscadi scales and saved over $50 as well. They asked me if I wanted the scales with or without a lanyard hole.

Send them an email and Luke will get back to you in a day or so. They were great to work with and can literally do anything.

The grip is a wildly popular model and part of that reason is the price! While adding G10 scales will appeal to many, it may put it out of reach of those that buy for value. Given the popularity of G10 I have to think that price plays an important role in going with Noryl or Valox. The 707 sequel is quite similar in shape, blade and size yet add aluminum & a small G10 insert and the price goes up over $50!
