G10 Grips Pic

Ok, I finally got a chance to grab a pic of the G10 1911 grips that I picked up at Blade. I bought the G10 for a stainless 1911 that's on the short list to buy but threw them on the Kimber and fell in love with them on the Black. :cool:

I bought a couple of pairs of the 1911 grips at Blade as well. They are sweet, but aren't they micarta not G10?
 
My G-10 grips are as black as coal. I'm lookin for some black hex head screws to fasten them on with. Brownell's (sic) may have them.
 
Those Green G10 were my favorite and they look great.

Some were G10 and some were Canvas. I think the tan were Canvas, the green and black were G10

So I got a pair of tan and a pair of snakeskin, so I am pretty sure what I got was micarta. RIGHT??? :confused: Very nice regardless.

Correct. The snake skin I grabbed also look great on the black, but now I'm thinking that they might look even better on stainless or OD Green. Or on the Busse 1911. Now to get Jerry to make a extra limited edition Jack Hammer with snakeskin to match. :cool:
 
They were sold out of the snakeskin by the time I got to the booth but I bought a set anyway.Amy just told me they will ship in the morning.:D

Just got them.
Snake skin on a stainless Kimber.
Haven't decided if I want to do any sanding or not.
BTW what is the best way to bring the color out in these.
