g10 handles

Hello everyone, I've got a few Beckers, the king, 5, 15, 24 currently, and I'm thinking I'm gonna get g10 handles for them. I've heard great things about TKC, but specifically looking at the tweener 15, do the g10 handles add any width over stock? I'm going to be adding liners to the original handles to gain some width, but if I go with g10 I'd rather not have to put liners under that then, so I was curious if the TKC handles add width, or if there is any companies handles that do. Thanks!

The TKC G10 scales have a slightly different profile, adding a bit of width in the middle but much thinner at the ends.

According to my micrometer, the TKC's on my 15 are .04" thicker in the palm swell and .02" thicker in the finger grooves but .15" thinner at the blade end.

Here are two of my 15's, factory scales on the left, TKC scales on the right.

I've only had the TKC's a short time and haven't tried them in wet conditions yet but, so far, they feel okay, just a bit more grippy. I like the thinner front and 'thumb groove' because it makes choking up easier.

BUT ... for $50, I'm not that impressed. I've taken 100grit sandpaper to my large BK scales and that makes them much more grippy. And, since the tweener scales are solid, I'm thinking about taking a half-round file to the front to thin and create my own thumb groove.

Thanks for taking the time to picture and measure the differences. I had not seen that information anywhere else.
