I recently saw a video where a guy removed the liners from his manix 2 to lighten the weight. Personally carrying my manix2 for the 2 or 3 months I've owned it I don't notice the weight unless it is in my hand. But I wouldn't mind decreasing the weight.. I was ondering though... how well does g10 hold threads? And how much do the linders in the manix actually weigh? If I do get this done to my manix ill send it into tuffthumbz. Ill probally get a deeper carry pocket clip put on too. I was also wondering if the steel back spacer on the manix could be replaced as well with out drastically decreasing the strength of the knife. Thanks for your time and help!

Hello,

That was my video, G-10 does not hold threads very well, for the clip I milled an area out and put a plate behind the clip screws. In the conversion I did, no screws thread into G-10.

Thanks very much for watching! :)
